Blocks of Diamond are extravagant blocks for storing Diamonds, and can only be mined with a Pickaxe of Iron or better. It is primarily used for Beacons, but can also be used as a garish but decorative construction material.

A beacon pyramid formed from Blocks of Diamond will give all players nearby the "Fortune" effect, causing mined non-metal ores such as Lapis Lazuli Ore, Diamond Ore, Coal Ore and Redstone Ore to have a greater yield.
