Pressure Plate
The Pressure Plate is a touch-sensitive switch that can be connected to Redstone circuits to induce a current by detecting items, mobs, animals or players. Pressure Plates can be placed on the top of any opaque block. When depressed with sufficient weight, the block the Pressure Plate is attached to will output a signal to all connected redstone wire. Pressure Plates will continue to output a signal for as long as they are pressed, and will deactivate after the weight is removed with a short delay, at the same speed as a Button.
Pressure Plates come in three varieties, Wood, Stone and Soulforged Steel, requiring increasing weight to activate. These properties also carry over to the variants of Detector Rails that they can be crafted into, allowing the basic detection of Minecart contents.
