The Button is a simple switch that can be connected to Redstone circuits to manually induce a current. Buttons can be placed only on the sides on any opaque block. When activated by right clicking, the block the button is attached to will output a signal to all connected redstone wire. Buttons are different to Levers in that they are "unstable" and will only stay switched on for a short time.
Buttons come in two varieties; Wood and Stone. They function similarly, the only difference being that the Wooden Button will also be depressed if it is fired on by a Rotted Arrow, Arrow or Broadhead Arrow. If the arrow stays embedded in the button, it will stay depressed until it despawns or is removed. Stone buttons can also be found naturally in Strongholds right next to Iron Doors, which will open briefly when the button is pressed.

Keep In Mind
- Rotted Arrows break on impact, so they will press Wooden Buttons as if you pressed them by hand.
- Rotted Arrows fired by Skeletons can also press Wooden Buttons.
