Mill Stone
The Mill Stone is a contraption made from heavy stone. When Mechanical power is applied to either the top of the bottom of the block, the gear inside is turned. The gear crushes some raw materials into finer materials that may be more useful than the original form. The Mill Stone will only hold one item at a time and each item can be added by right clicking or through the use of a powered Hopper. The products of grinding are ejected in a random horizontal direction. Each item takes the Mill Stone 10 seconds to grind when provided with a continuous source of Mechanical power.

Powering
The mill stone can be powered only from the top or the bottom:
However it is much better to power it from the bottom, since it allows the use of a Hopper above it, to automate the process.
Collection
Since the products of grinding are ejected in a random horizontal direction all around the mill stone, there's two way to collect the items produced:
Water-less collection
Placing 8 Hoppers all around the mill stone will allow you to collect all the items, especially when using a Hopper to load it, removing a lot of manual labor:
Water-based collection
By placing the mill stone near rivers or lake, you can use water to collect items, reducing the amount of Hoppers needed, and making it faster to collect:

Keep in Mind
- It can only be powered by an axle if it is going directly into the top or bottom of the block.
- All processed material it produces is immediately ejected to the sides of the Mill Stone, even if there are blocks there (the items will get stuck in the blocks).
- It is highly recommended to use water and a Hopper to collect your goods with no loss.
- A powered Hopper is recommended to continuously provide items to the Mill Stone to be ground.
- Possession, also known as "Nothing to Worry About", is what happens to living animals and villagers, but not the player, when exposed to the spirits of The Nether after a short time: infected souls start to come out of the Nether and leak into your world. These spirits are invisible, and will seep out a short distance from any Nether Portal, and will also infect potential hosts that enter the Nether entirely, warping their behavior to generally undesirable results. Despite popular beliefs, grinding Netherrack in a mill stone is not a source of possession.
