As the first accessible iron tool, the Iron Chisel carves the path to progress! The chisel allows you to carve a crafting table, harvest ores, and break stone into bricks!
Crafting
Uses
- When chiselling a block of Smooth Stone, it will produce 2 Stone Bricks in place of Loose Stones. Like all chisels, it cannot break stone in its entirety.
- Crafting together an Iron Chisel with a Smooth Stone block in a grid will split it into Stone Bricks, similar to how an Axe can split Wood, and can split the bricks further into two loose stones. Both actions will cause the chisel to lose durability.
- A crafting table can be carved by using the chisel on a stump. Note this will use more durability than other actions.
- The iron chisel harvests coal, iron and gold, but will produce piles instead of full chunks, which is half as efficient as using the correct pickaxe.
- The iron chisel harvests all gem ores (Lapis Lazuli, Emerald, Redstone and Diamond) with no losses.
Keep in Mind
- The Iron Chisel can be crafted in the inventory crafting grid.
- Chiselling a stump is the only way to create a standard Crafting Table.
- Iron Chisels can be embedded as a block in Smooth Stone and Wood, wherever it can be used as a tool, similar to Axes, Shovels and Pickaxes.
