The Diamond Pickaxe is the first craftable tool that can be used to mine Strata 3 stone, opening up the ability to go caving and mining at any level.

It is required in order to mine Obsidian and make a Nether Portal.

Diamond tools can be infinitely recycled in a Crucible, since smelting them will return 100% of the Diamond Ingots used.

Like all diamond tools, it has much better speed and durability than iron tools, and requires a Crafting Table to make.

Keep in Mind

  • Faster than a Iron Pickaxe.
  • Has 1561 uses.
  • Does 2.5 hearts of damage per hit.
  • Loses 2 uses for each hit when used as a weapon, like all tools.
