Weeds
Weeds are invasive plants that inhibit crop growth. They are purely a nuisance and have no useful purpose. Weeds can grow naturally during the nighttime on any farmland block, even if it has something else growing in it. On the standard difficulty, weeds growing on top of another crop will kill that crop if they are allowed to grow unchecked. In relaxed mode, weeds will not kill the crop, but still prevent it from growing. To avert this the player can right-click on a crop that has weeds growing on it, which will remove the weeds.
Keep in Mind
- Once you have sufficiently advanced technology you can grow crops in a planter, which cannot get weeds.
- Even though it takes several days for weeds to kill a crop, it is recommended to weed your crops every day since crops will not advance their growth stages while they have weeds growing on them.
