The Water Wheel is a large mechanical device capable of supplying mechanical power to the axle to which it is attached. It may only be attached to an axle, and will automatically adjust its orientation to match its mount. It can not be placed horizontally. When attempting to place a Water Wheel, you must ensure that the space it will occupy is clear of any other blocks (5x5x1), other than water. When water flows through the underside of the Water Wheel, it will cause the Wheel to spin, and that motion will be translated to the axle to which it is mounted. As of mod version 2.81, it is now possible to power the wheel with water flowing down its sides as well. It is a useful power provider as it does not break in high wind speeds or downpours as wind mills do.
