Nether Quartz Ore is a fairly common ore found embedded in Netherrack throughout the Nether and is the only ore located there. It is typically found in clusters of 5 to 8 ores. If mined by any Pickaxe, it will drop one Nether Quartz. The only way to obtain the ore in block form is through a silk touch enchantment or Block Dispenser. Unlike Netherrack, fire does not infinitely burn on Nether Quartz Ore.

The only way to obtain it in block form is through a Silk Touch enchantment or a Block Dispenser, though the block has no use other than being mined for Nether Quartz.
