Dyes are a set of items with the common properties of being able to recolor wool, woollen clothing, sheep, leather armor, and tamed wolf collars. Primary colors are generally obtainable directly from resources such as flowers, while secondary colors are generally obtainable by combining dyes in a crafting grid. Dying a Sheep only changes its color for one round of shearing, at which point it will return to its original color, so breeding sheep for different colors is a more efficient way to mass-produce colored wool in the desired hue.

Keep in Mind

  • Dung can be used as a brown dye to substitute Cocoa Powder in most applications, however it cannot be used to dye clothes or armor. You smell enough already.
