A bedroll is a block that allows the player to sleep by right-clicking on it, accelerating time. It's not very comfortable, so you won't regenerate any health while sleeping in it. It is the only item that allows sleeping in the early game, before the player is able to craft the more advanced bed. The bedroll is portable and can be deployed and picked up with ease, unlike the bed which cannot be picked up after being placed.
