Bark is the outer husk of the Wood from a tree, obtained when it is stripped by a Chisel or punched bare handed, or by splitting it with an Axe or Saw. Bark may also be used as a furnace fuel in the early game, and is mainly used for tanning leather at more advanced stages. Different kinds of bark are more or less efficient for tanning.
