The Iron Pickaxe is the first craftable tool that can be used to mine Strata 2 stone, opening up the ability to go caving deeper.

It is required in order to mine Diamond ores and make a Diamond Pickaxe.

• Faster than a Stone Pickaxe.
• Has 500 uses.
• Does 2 hearts of damage per hit.
• Loses 2 uses for each hit when used as a weapon, like all tools.
