*Levers will also induce indirect [[Redstone]] power to nearby blocks without the need for Redstone Dust, similar to [[Redstone Torch]]es. This can be useful for activating [[Powered Rail]]s or [[Rail]] corner junctions.

The Lever is a simple switch that can be connected to Redstone circuits to manually induce a current. Levers can be placed in any orientation on any opaque block. When activated by right clicking, the block the lever is attached to will output a signal to all connected redstone wire. Levers are different to Buttons in that they are "stable" and will stay on until switched off.

When placed on the side of blocks, up is off and down is on. On the top or bottom of blocks, on is south or west, off is north or east. Mobs cannot turn on a lever, or turn it off.
