Urn
An Urn is traditionally used as a container for the ashes of the deceased, and is the first step towards the creation of the Soul Urn. It can also be placed as an aesthetic block.
Crafting
An Urn is crafted by placing a block of unfired clay on top of a Turntable and letting it rotate until the Unfired Pottery becomes the shape of an urn, which is after 8 complete turns. You will get 7 clay back in the process, so the Urn costs 2 clay in total. After that it must by fired in a Kiln.
Applications
Filtering
Soul-infused materials (Ground Netherrack, Soul Dust or Glowstone Dust) will instantly turn into their processed equivalents when it is thrown on top of a Hopper that has been fitted with a Soul Sand block as a filter, but it will not fall through the hopper. It is very advisable to apply mechanical power to the hopper to release the extracted soul energy, as converting eight or more cumulative materials while it is unpowered will cause the hopper to explode, destroying half of the materials, the corner piece and the pressure plate.
During this process with a powered hopper, the extracted souls can be captured by attaching an Urn below the Hopper to create Soul Urns. Every eight soul-infused materials will fill one Urn and cause it to drop off, leaving a place for a new Urn. This process can be automated with the use of Block Dispensers and other devices. The process of Soul Urn creation is amenable to automation almost in its entirety.
