Rope is a strong length of braided Hemp Fibers, primarily used for crafting Axles and other mechanical equipment. 9 pieces of rope can be crafted into a Coil of Rope for more compact storage.
Rope can be attached to an Anchor to create a portable climbing device that will drop downwards. Attaching more ropes to the anchor or the hanging rope will cause it to extend downward until it hits a block. This is very useful for cave exploration and for generally descending from heights without having to first tunnel your way down, or plummet to your potential death.
Another notable use of the rope is in creating elevators using a Pulley, Anchor and Platforms.
