Advantages and Disadvantages
There are many reasons why a player might consider using Poached Eggs as a primary food source:
- They do not require slaughter - and subsequent breeding - of livestock, unlike meat.
- They restore an adequate amount of hunger and saturation, unlike Donuts or Melon Slices.
- Production can be fully automated.
However, there are also certain drawbacks:
- You can only produce as many eggs as you have seeds.
- They require use of a Cauldron, making them unavailable in the early game.
- They do not restore as much hunger or saturation as meat.
