Providing much heavier draw strength than its standard counterpart, the Composite Bow is able to launch arrows at a higher velocity. This allows for a much greater range when using arrows, however this greater velocity does not translate to greater damage.
Unique to the Composite Bow is the ability to fire the heavy broadhead arrows due to its increased draw strength. Broadhead arrows provide more damage, and travel at the approximately twice the velocity as standard arrows fired from a standard bow, but cannot fire Rotted Arrows, which will shatter if fired. The Composite Bow has 150% of the vanilla bow's durability.
