While the Companion Cube is nearly indestructible it can be cut in half to form Companion Slabs. The slabs can be a pleasant alternative for small homes that cannot accommodate a full-sized pet and can be used to reach items on high shelves.
Crafting
A Companion Slab is created by using a Saw to cut a Companion Cube in half.

- It's possible to get a full-sized Companion Cube back by placing one Companion Slab on top of another.
