The Hibachi is the Netherrack of the modern man. A Hibachi's top surface will ignite, creating fire in the space above, when the the Hibachi receives redstone power. This flame cannot be extinguished by hand as the Hibachi will re-ignite instantly as long as it has redstone current. Terminating the redstone power and occluding the Hibachi's surface with a block are the only ways to extinguish the flame.

The Hibachi's flame is the only one strong enough to withstand being stoked by a Bellows, making the Hibachi a requirement for Pottery, Crucible operations and Rendering.
