Crafting
Fried Egg is obtained by cooking a Raw Egg in a furnace. A fried egg restores 4 hunger points.
Advantages and Disadvantages
There are many reasons why a player might consider using Fried Eggs as a primary food source:
- they are easy to produce in bulk and require no crafting, unlike Bread
- they do not require destruction - and subsequent breeding - of livestock, unlike meats
- they restore an adequate amount of hunger and saturation, unlike Donuts
- they do not require a stewing pot, so they can be made in the early game
However, there are also certain drawbacks:
- they require many chickens to produce in bulk, which might cause lag
- they require use of a stewing pot, making them unavailable in the early game
- they cannot be fully automated
