Summary
The Saw processes any wooden block placed in front of it into other forms if it receives mechanical power. Its primary use is for automated tree-farming and processing, but it is also capable of damaging players, animals, and monsters that come into contact with it when powered, making it an effective tool for use in traps and grinders.
Production
- Logs are processed into 4 Wood Planks.
- Wood Planks are processed into 2 Wooden Panels.
- Wooden Panels are processed into 2 pieces of Moulding
- Moulding is processed into 2 Corners.
- A Corner is processed into 2 Gears.
- A Companion Cube is processed into 2 Companion Slabs.
Crafting
Iron Ingot | Iron Ingot | Iron Ingot | |
Gear | Belt | Gear | |
Wood Plank | Gear | Wood Plank |
Applications
- Production of wooden panels, moulding, corners, and gears
- Production of Companion Slabs
- Automated Wood processing (with a block dispenser)
- Traps/Mob grinders
- Automated Tree farming
- Automated Sugar Cane/Hemp farming (Pistons or Block Dispensers work better)
Keep in Mind
- While receiving mechanical power the Saw will inflict 2 hearts of damage on Mobs or the Player.
- It will not receive mechanical power from the blade side.
- Trying to cut any other blocks besides logs, planks, panels, moulding, corners and the companion cube causes the saw to break.
- Using the Saw to harvest Hemp or Sugarcane causes many of the drops to fall on the soil they were planted on, making it hard to automatically collect them. Pistons and Block Dispensers work much better for harvesting these crops.
