Hardcore Armor completely changes the way that armor is used in the game. It makes changes that make different armors worth wearing on different occasions: light armor offers little protection, but is cheaper and does not impede swimming, while heavy armor offers more protection but can make hunger decrease faster. This also encourages mix and matching different armor parts, since the total weight of the armor determines the buoyancy of the player.
