Minimized blocks are small blocks that can be created using either a Saw (for wooden ones) or an Anvil (for stone ones). Some of them have found their way into block recipes - High Efficiency Recipes .

Production

Wooden Blocks can be obtained by placing on in front of a Saw's blade. You may craft two smaller types back into the next larger type. e.g. two corners into one moulding (the recipes are shapeless).
Stone Blocks must be crafted on an Anvil.

Variations

Siding (Formerly Panel)
This block is similar to a slab, except it may face in any direction.
Moulding
Basically, this is a wood/stone Siding cut in half to provide a strip of wood for detailing structures.
Corner
A block half the size of moulding; It is 1/8 of a full block. A wooden corner can be cut by a Saw for 2 Gears.

Keep in Mind

  • Orientation can be changed after placement by right-clicking on the block with an empty hand.
  • Each wooden minimized block burns in a furnace for the same amount as a full wooden plank (1.5 smelts), so a log can become 32 corners (48 smelts) instead of charcoal (8 smelts).
