The The Beast is a new hostile mob that was add to the mod in V4.82
The Beast is what wolves turn when they eats Rotten Flesh. After a short time, they will transform into a large, dark furred wolf that is hostile to players. This means you should not use your wolves to fight zombies as they will attempt to eat the rotten flesh after it drops if they are hungry.
The Beast have a chance to drop more rotten flesh, so if one of your wolves turn in to The Beast, separate it from the rest of your pack before killing it or it may create another Beast.
