Steel is used in the creation of refined tools like the refined pickaxe, refined shovel, and other items of that sort. It is created in a crucible with three iron ingots and one nethercoal.

- Steel can only be made in a crucible.
- The refined tools are faster than diamond tools, and are especially useful when collecting Redstone
