Summary
Plate Armor is a type of armor that is created with Steel ingots.
Crafting
Unlike VMC armor plate armor takes 27 steel ingots to craft the entire set, also Armor Plates are required to make the helm, breastplate, and leggings.

Applications
Plate Armor is worn like any other armor.
Keep in Mind
An Anvil is required to work with steel.
Plate armor can be melted back down into steel, so it's a good idea to not let it break.
