Revision as of 09:11, 22 August 2011

These are examples of the rare purely aesthetic features in BTW. Some of them have found their way into block recipes though.

Name Dimensions Stone Wood
Panel Like a Slab yes yes
Moulding half a Panel No yes
Corner half a Moulding No yes

Production

Wooden Blocks can be obtained by placing on in front of a saw's blade. You may craft two smaller types back into the next larger type. e.g. two corners into one moulding (the recipes are shapeless)
Stone Blocks can be produced in the mill stone

Variations

Panel
This block is similar to a slab, except it may face in any direction. It comes in both wood and smooth-stone varieties, which may be made by cutting a wood block with a Saw or by grinding down smoothstone in the Mill Stone.

NOTE: The Millstone is only intended to grind organic matter, so this method of creating the smoothstone Panel will likely change in the near future.

Moulding
Basically, this is a wood Panel cut in half to provide a strip of wood for detailing structures. It is made by cutting a panel with the Saw.
Corner
Cutting Moulding in half with a Saw results in a Corner, which can be used for even more precise detailing work.

Keep in Mind

  • The production method for Stone panels is announced to be changed in the future.
  • Placement of each requires a learning curve, but misplaced ones can be easily removed.
