Carrot

Carrots are a domesticated crop that can only be found in the farms of non-abandoned Villages. If a village has Carrots, it cannot have Potatoes and vice versa, so at least two villages must be found to use recipes that utilise both. Like Wheat they can be grown in farmland. Carrots cooked in a Brick Oven or a Cauldron become Cooked Carrots, which has many uses in more advanced Food recipes.

Farming

Carrots have a unique farming mechanic in that they have to be planted in two steps to propagate. When carrots are planted in farmland or planters, they grow into flowering carrot plants. Each fully grown flowering carrot yields two carrot seeds when harvested. These carrot seeds can then be planted again, and each seed will grow into a carrot plant that yields a single carrot.
